Forum Makes Significant Monetary Commitment to Florence’s Downtown
Revitalization Project Fitness
Forum to undergo Substantial Renovation (Florence,
S.C., Aug. 1, 2007) – The Fitness
Forum will get a brand new look while contributing to the efforts of
Florence’s downtown revitalization project.
These enhancements will update the appearance of the facility while
breathing new life into Downtown Florence. The
renovations will be divided into several phases starting with demolition of
certain areas in the facility. The project will convert over 2,400 square feet
of under utilized space into additional space for the gym’s cardio-theatre and
free weight areas. More than
$150,000 of cardio and free weight equipment has been added to replace outdated
equipment with the most modern technology in fitness equipment.
In addition, men’s and women’s locker rooms will be completely
renovated, the retail shop will be expanded and will include a fresh lunch
service daily and a full service day spa will be added to the facility.
The
exterior design will be coordinated with the City of Florence Downtown
Revitalization Committee. The entire project will take approximately six months
to complete, with the project being finalized before first quarter 2008.
“These
renovations and the addition of new services demonstrate our commitment to
personal fitness to our members and the community,” said Karen Leatherman,
owner and operator of Fitness Forum. “We are excited about Florence’s
downtown revitalization efforts and we want to be a part of its success.” Fitness
